Activities on the farm and surrounds
Our farm has an incredible host of activities for you to enjoy during your stay. Despite being a nature retreat, accessible only by dirt road, our farm is also just 30 minutes away from the town of Montagu where there is also plenty to see and do.
Go fishing (or take a fishing lesson)
Our two dams offer diverse seasonal fishing and are stocked with rainbow trout in the cooler months. Tilapia, Cape Kurper and Grass Carp are better caught in the warm summer months.
Visit the deli or order produce
Come and visit our deli and processing room to purchase some of our fish and other farm produce. Or enquire ahead of time to check availability and order produce to enjoy during your visit.
Go for a hike or trail run
Two hiking trails are maintained on the farm leading visitors through a variety of habitats and stunning mountainous views, as well as the opportunity to visit our famous Leopard tree and rock pool.
Visit the natural rock pools
The natural rock pools, which occur along our water gorge, are perfect for cooling off in the heat of the hot summer months. Keep and eye out for Klipspringer, Dassie, Hunting Eagles and sign of the leopards.
Take a dip in the eco pool
Take a refreshing dip in the naturally filtered eco-pool which has been repurposed from an old agricultural reservoir. The three tiered natural filtration bed filter eliminates the need for chemicals.
Grab your binoculars
The diverse vegetation and habitat attracts a large variety of Karoo and Cape Fynbos species. Specials include the Verraux's Eagle, Layard's Tit-babbler, Grey-winged Francolin, Protea Seedeater and Ground Woodpecker
Go for a picnic or sundowner
We have three carefully chosen picnic spots that offer visitors spectacular views over the breathtaking valleys and mountainous landscape. Perfect for shared meal or sundonwer.
Do some stargazing
The extremely low light pollution on our farm lends itself to spectacular clear night skies. After seeing the magnificent sunset and braaing on the stoep, dim the lights and head outside to admire the stars.

Adventure on your mountain bike
Numerous jeep tracks on the farm as well as quiet gravel roads & circular routes in the area make for excellent mountain biking for young families or fitness fanatics alike.
