We offer a truly unique Western Cape farm stay on Two Dam Sustainable, an easily accessible, yet remote, working trout and pecan nut farm where guests can enjoy fishing, artisanal farm produce and a host of other fun activities. The farm is a founding member of the Pietersfontein Conservancy - a protected area helping its rich biodiversity flourish.
Eco Cottages with Hot Tubs
Four sustainably built cottages, three with hot tubs, one that is universally accessible. Choose the renovated, 150+ year-old stone cottage (one bedroom, dog friendly) or one of the three naturally built cottages (two bedrooms each), clustered together for breathtaking views, privacy, and easy access to a shared Boma and eco pool, making it perfect for groups. All cottages are off-grid, solar-powered and Wi-Fi equipped.
Farm activities for everyone
Our farm has a number of fun activities which you can enjoy during your stay, including: fishing, fishing lessons, birding, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, stargazing, and swimming in the eco-pool or natural rock pools. We have several dedicated trails and picnic spots to enjoy. You can also stop by our fish farm deli where you can purchase fresh farm produce, or even enjoy a tour of the farm.

A truly sustainable, family run experience
The journey on our family run farm, in the heart of the Klein Karoo, started in 2014. We, Vivian and Marco Harms, live on the farm with our two children, three trusted employees and adventurous German Short-Haired Pointer, Annie.
We are the founding members of the Pietersfontein Conservancy which is protecting and rehabilitating the diverse indigenous Fauna and Flora of more than 10395 ha of land in the area. This is in keeping with our general ethos of uncompromised sustainability in all fields of our farming and operational practices.
The Two Dam Sustainable Trout Farm
Part of what makes our farm special is the fact that we are an operational trout and pecan nut farm producing artistanal and highly sustainable fresh produce available at our deli. Our trout products can also be found in a few restaurants, hotels and stores in the Montagu, Robertson and Cape Town area. All our trout are farmed on site and products are made fresh, with no added preservatives or harmful ingredients. Our traditional curing and smoking processes ensure our products are delicious and of the highest quality.
